Who am I?

My  name is Christopher Hill and I am a huge Sci-Fi Fan as well as a huge Lego fan. Hence my blog being about Sci-Fi Lego. Not only is this blog designed to showcase my Lego creations, but also to act as a platform for me to discuss ideas and comment on those creations. In the near future, I hope to make videos with me commenting on and discussing my creations, the difficulties faced and how I built them. More importantly, I want this blog to act as a resource for all Lego builders of any age, providing inspiration, ideas and tips on how to build and be creative. To access that section of the blog go to the top section of the menu.

Some of my top shows are Battlestar Galactica, Stargate: Atlantis, Babylon 5 and Star Trek: Enterprise, though I watch many more shows than that! That is why the four patches are predominant in a lot of graphics and logos across my blog and YouTube channel. I post Lego creations from my favourite shows and movies as well as other bits and pieces. I enjoy photography quite a bit as well, which is why I put so much effort into taking good photos of my Lego. It has certainly taken a lot of practice!

I’ve been blogging for about 4 years and since I first started the blog, it has been through a lot of radical changes to get it to the stage it is at now, with another major update in progress at the moment! I am super excited about this update because it will hopefully make the blog a better resource to help other Lego builders. My Lego has also changed over the course of those years. I started photographing my Lego in 2008, a year or so before I started blogging. Since then it has changed from really bad to what I hope is quite good. Its been an incredible journey. As I look back I can see the creations that marked radical shifts in how I build and my designs.

I’m fresh out of High School. Unfortunately, schoolwork has reduced the amount of time I have for Lego and that will continue to be the case with University and my broad interests, various projects and busy life. But, rest assured, I will make sure that I keep posting things! There may be gaps – big gaps. Sometimes it’ll be weekly, daily or once a month, but I will always post. In the end I am just a normal teenager trying to find my place in the world, so the blog might change around a bit as I try new things and learn what works and what doesn’t. I’ve jumped on the internet trend, not because its what everyone else is doing, but because I truly believe in it as a revolutionary platform for sharing content of all shapes and forms.

If you want to contact me, please feel free to email me at chris.j.h.chris@gmail.com or visit my facebook page (facebook.com/scifilego). I am always open to suggestions and comments on my creations and the other elements of the blog. I value any feedback – positive or negative! If there are any creations you want me to make, comment on the suggestions page!
